so it seems that on the 20th in NYC Sony will be holding a conference for reporters and potential investors for Sony's next big thing its more then likely going to be the PS4 announcement as its due out this holiday season what are your guys thoughts on the announcement are you excited. do you think the ps3 still has some life in it or do you not care at all because your a Microsoft fan boy  let me know id love to hear all your opinions |

I don't care at all, because I'm a Microsoft fanboy! The only thing that I like about this, is that an announcement for the Xbox 720 would probably come soon after!  Seriously though, this is cool. I hope they bring back Socom like it was in Socom 2! |

dunno if anyone else watched the live stream but im am extremely excited for the PS4 i shall be making a few threads in hear with up-coming titles so stay tuned on news of the hot new titles announced and even some titles we already knew about making that transition over to the PS4 and presumably the next Xbox.

mircosoft has to make an annoucement at GDC at the end of march now there in a very bad spot marketing wise because they werent the first to announce there console thats the reason they had the upper hand on the ps3 and now sony remembers how they made the PS2 such a success by announcing there console first im very interested in seeing how microsoft is going to react to this

not only will tons of consumers swing over to sony for the console but it will greatly hurt the retailing industry as most carry alot more xbox related things then ps3 if for example you take my old place of work the gamestop in newton half of the store is filled with pre-owned xbox games and pre-owned is how we made the money to keep it going the selling of new products all of that revenue just goes back to the distributor the publisher and developers so if in fact this will be the case for microsoft it will kill the business even though photos have been posted online showing these rumors to be true they were taken from a dev kit which changes so often that they may have thought of it at first but released that will lose more then gain and have changed it. one can only hope right and if worse comes to worse PC gaming is an alt because then you wouldnt have to worry about what the console can and cant do and sorry this is so long i just love discussing videogames |
