GOP Sen. Portman of Ohio now supports gay marriage

So his son came out and he changed his stance after his son came out my intial reaction was to praise him but a friend of mine that it was bs for him to do so, because he was a "Turn coat" and it was dishonest. my friend is pro gay marriage btw. tonight i heard a program on npr that list little bit and the point made was and i paraphrase...that an elected official should care just about him self and his children but all Americans and their children. Ill try and find a clip or the show. ive posted a news article about it.
